My Words: Bridge of Connection

Bridge of Connection

Meeting on a bridge of connection happens when two or more people manage to have a sense of stopping being
‘I’ and ‘You’.

For a moment there is a sense of being bigger.
The sense of ‘I’ and ‘You’ dissolves somehow and becomes ‘Us’.
‘I’, ‘You’ get suspended on a bridge of connection.

Meeting on a bridge of connection happens when one turns attention inward and illuminates something inside.
This something inside could be about contemplating a past story, entertaining a future dream or simply savouring the present moment.
The sense of ‘I’ dissolves somehow.
‘I’ gets suspended on a bridge of connection.

Meeting on a bridge of connection happens when one turns attention outward and feels fully absorbed by the outside world – a bird singing, a touch of a wind, somebody’s smile.
The sense of ‘I’ dissolves somehow and becomes one with the world.
‘I’ gets suspended on a bridge of connection.

My life has enriched me with many stories in which the bridge of connection was present.
Sometimes initiated by me, sometimes by someone else, sometimes it just happened.
My life and counselling room witnessed many people intentionally creating and co-creating bridges of connection.

I love meeting you, us on a bridge of connection.
It is so easy to be there.

So natural.

Like breathing.

Breathing with you.
